Take heed- You slumbering warriors of indifference.

He fear grows, multiplies, fills your nostrils with its pungent scent.

 

 

Unleash the darkness from within you.

Give it wings. Set it free. Watch it soar.

 

 

The crowd jeers and you stand there

In the spotlight

Wishing only for the shadows.

Searching

And it is simply in the blinking of an eye:

A lifetime as yet undiscovered.

Untold wealth. Untold wisdom. Infinite beauty.

Yearn. Dream. Discover.

Written in the stars

It’s more a whisper than a yell, spreading

Silently across the nation. It’s in the trees.

Can you hear it?

Lend an ear to the ground.

Touch it. Feel it. Bask in its warmth.

For it calls. All of you. All of us.

 

What scares you most?

Why do you not lose yourself in the permeable darkness?

The stars call your name; they twinkle, ghostly.

Will you answer?

The vortex

You close your eyes, and beneath fluttering lids

Watch the raindrops fall, glistening

To the glassy, starry ground.

You shiver in the glorious chill. The falling leaves

Cling desperately to naked branches; shudder there,

helpless against the torrents.

And in the downpour, you lift your face to the heavens.

In an infinite, endless stream,

You smile against the pummel, and breathe in the vortex.

Monstrosities

Stand before the mirror.

It lies in its appearance, none

There but an unfounded image.

Behind closed lids stand monsters.

They beckon; do you hear them?

Do you heed? And if you should,

What harm lies in that?

Afterall, a monster is only monster by definition.

And by whose claim makes it true?

They are simply monstrosities like the rest of us;

lonely creatures. The misunderstood forgotten.

Join them, laugh, dance. Then open your eyes.

You see?  It was only you there all along.

Smile your pretty smile and bid farewell.

Feed the beast

The energy inside is a fiery beast

That roars and ravages. Pour water

on this inferno. It won’t be quenched.

I am not afraid-afraid? To dance,

To sing, to fly. I am not afraid to be.

You see these wings? They are unfolding.

Watch me soar.

Yours

Dance your wicked dance,

Smile that crazy smile.

Breathe in all that life beholds.

It is ALL for you.

All for you.

Do you believe in the life they

Forecast for you? Do you stand,

Cowed, eyes intent on the floor

Beneath your feet. Afraid to sing?

 

Open your eyes. Look around you.

Do you see the stars? They are something

No one truly understands. Long dead,

they shine against the darkness.

A small pinnacle of light in a ghastly place.

Reach for them, let them be your guide.

They call your name.  It is written there.

You are destined for greatness.

Reach for them . Believe. Sing out.

Join the ancient melody. It waits for you.

Cosmic Dance

I sway, caught in this vortex

there is nothing left, but to let go.

And perhaps that was the answer,

  all along. It is pure magic when the

music plays in your ears, while the

earth dances beneath your feet, and the

 moon! Ah how he laughs. I spin, until

breathless with laughter, I collapse

in a heap on the dancing earth.

 

From a distance, I hear the waves bubbling

on the shore. The stars are humming,

and I, I am a part of this cosmic

dance. Close your eyes, be drawn into

the magic with me. Do you feel the

spirit? Please, please don’t be afraid-

let go, let it all go. Be swallowed whole,

let it consume you.

Heartsong

The rhythm pounds deep and strong-

You feel it in your bones, and when

You breathe, it follows your pattern.

 

Your heart, it sings a likeness.

Your body sways involuntarily,

And when you open your mouth in protest,

You find instead a song. The song

That beats in your core. A heartsong.
